Horticulture Manager (Maintenance Landscape Operations)

The Horticulture Manager will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customers and management’s expectations. This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to the tasks listed below. This team member will report to the General Manager of the local branch.
Sunrise Landscape has multiple locations throughout Florida and this role will be located in Tampa, FL by the 75/I-4 Intersection.
What You'll Do
- Planning, scheduling, and implementing the tasks associated with fertilizer and chemical applications for multiple field technicians. These activities must result in compliance with contract specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
- Monitoring landscape health and care needs.
- Diagnose primary turf problems and basic pest identification, as well as performs the chemical and fertilizer application.
- Maintain proper documentation as required by The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
- Assist in hiring and training of Spray Technicians.
- Take a proactive approach to safety by providing proper field safety training, encouraging employees and providing employees with proper safety equipment.
What We're Looking For
- It’s preferred that the candidate have an active and valid Florida Certified Pest Control Operator License in Lawn and Ornamental, but not required.
- Certifications preferred in Agronomic, L&O, and Horticulture.
- Two to three years of experience in Fertilization and Chemicals leading multiple technicians and properties required.
- Should possess the ability to identify turf grass types, ornamental plants species, weeds, insects, and disease.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills; mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, and applications.
- Ability to respond to customer needs and requests professionally and effectively.
- Aspire knowledge and inventory management.
- Bilingual- Spanish a plus.
